About the Program

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) is partnering with Google once again for our LOFT Coding Jam Sessions across America in over 15 markets. LOFT is HHF’s award-winning leadership and workforce development program and the Coding Jams are part of LOFT’s Innovation & Technology Track. We are currently accepting applications for 8 LOFT Innovation Fellows who will each facilitate a coding program at a high school in 1 of 8 U.S. cities

Requirements

Description

The ideal fellows will be a college student or young professional, who is studying computer science, working in the industry, and/or demonstrates a keen interest in technology. Background in programming is preferred, but not required.

Hours:24-32hrs

LOFT Innovation Fellows will: 

  • Facilitate one Google CS First program, which consists of 8 one-hour sessions.
  • Meet with the lead teacher of each school to set a schedule for the 8-session course.
  • Conduct an assessment to determine which Google CS First course they will execute.
  • Develop relationships with the students, parents, and involved administration to ensure seamless implementation of the coding program at each school. This will include consistent individual check-ins with the lead teacher and periodic checkins with administration and parents
