About the Program |
The American Meteorological Society (AMS) is pleased to invite applications for the AMS Graduate Fellowship in the History of Science, to be awarded to a student in the process of completing a dissertation on the history of the atmospheric, or related oceanic or hydrologic sciences. The Fellowship carries a $15,000 stipend and will support one year of dissertation research. Fellowships cannot be deferred and must be used for the year awarded, but can be used to support research at a location away from the student’s institution, provided the plan is approved by the student’s thesis advisor. Questions? Any questions may be directed to Donna Fernandez, Development and Student Program Manager, 617-227-2426 ext. 3907. AMS encourages applications from women, minorities, and disabled students who are traditionally underrepresented in the atmospheric and related oceanic sciences. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or hold permanent resident status and must be pursuing a degree at a U.S. institution. |
