About the Program

Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with projects such as the following: Utilize higher education datasets to analyze trends in college access, affordability, and success; to create fact sheets and data shows, and to support analyses for Education Trust publications Conduct literature reviews and policy scans on issues related to our higher education policy priorities and create written summaries Provide research support for responses to higher education policy and research inquiries from staff, media, and the public Assist with original data collection and database construction for projects examining college completion, access, and affordability.

Description

Qualifications and Experience We are looking for a graduate student with studies focused on education policy or a related field. The ideal candidate will have: Some experience with quantitative data analysis, data collection, and data management Desire to work in a social justice-minded organization with a strong interest in advocacy, organizing, and education policy and/or practice Excellent oral and written communications skills A strong critical thinker who is self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively Excellent organizational and follow-through skills and attention to detail Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
