DC Public Charter School Board Internship Program is searching for high achieving college students, recent graduates, and graduate students in Washington, DC who are interested in learning more about DC charter schools and are committed to the mission of providing quality public school options for DC students and families.  Depending on the interns’ interests, they have the opportunity to experience working in a variety of fields:

  • Data Management and Analysis
  • Finance, Operations and Strategic Initiatives
  • Communications and Social Media
  • School Support and Education Policy
  • Legal

Description

The PCSB Internship Program is currently accepting applicants from college juniors and seniors, recent college graduates, and students enrolled in graduate programs.

  • Potential interns should have an interest in and commitment to improving public education.
  • Candidates should also have strong writing and analytic skills, attention to detail, and problem solving abilities.
  • Interns must work well both independently and with others to juggle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability, initiative, and a desire to reflect and receive constructive feedback to develop skills are essential.
  • Data analysis experience using Excel is a plus for certain positions, while experience with social media and website management is a plus for an internship in the Communications Department.
