About the Program |
This innovative fund supports 3rd and 4th year underrepresented minority medical school students in need for immediate, emergency funding. The funds could pay tuition or living expenses, depending on need and approval of the ESP Advisory Committee. Emergency scholarships are non-renewable and can range up to $10,000. Qualified applicants must provide two essays, one explaining their financial circumstances and the other their interest in a career in medicine and all documents supporting their financial status. Applications must be submitted by the medical school accompanied by a letter of support from the Financial Aid Director. Applications accepted on rolling basis. |
