About the Program |
The intern will work with a CRS analyst in the Foreign Affairs, Defense and Trade Division on a number of projects involving U.S. trade and economic relations with China. The work is expected to include, for use by Members of Congress and staff, a new report on China’s state-owned enterprises. The intern will also help answer Congressional requests on China and attend CRS briefings conducted for Congressional staff. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of the Chinese language in order to help translate Chinese government documents and reports, good research and writing skills, and basic knowledge of the Chinese economy. Undergraduate or graduate student preferred. |
