About the Program |
The intern will work on two projects in the Health Services and Research Section of the Domestic Social Policy Division. (1) Compile a detailed funding history of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA); this project is impacted by budget documents in which line items do not sum to totals and by changes in the budget structure over time. (2) Update and expand a web-based database of information about prescription drug abuse policy, including legislation, hearings, position papers, research, etc.; this project uses SharePoint. Position requires: excellent attention to detail, advanced skill in Excel, including using formulas (e.g., IFERROR, VLOOKUP), linking data from one workbook to another and embedding html links, ability to learn new software, and skill in searching web-based databases (e.g. LexisNexis) and the Internet. All academic levels will be considered. |
