About the Program

The Airport Minority Advisory Council Educational and Scholarship Program, Inc. (AMACESP) is the sister organization of the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC). AMAC is one of the largest airport/business trade associations that effectively participates in advocacy, outreach, education and other activities on behalf of its members. Its mission is to foster and promote equal opportunity for minorities, women and disadvantaged businesses to participate in aviation-related business, contracting and employment opportunities, while supporting the mission of airports. In 1997, the AMAC Board of Directors established the AMACESP, a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization, to offer charitable, literary and educational programs to benefit future aviation professionals and the general public. AMACESP is governed by a 25-member volunteer Board of Directors and has two part- time employees. Each director is an aviation professional either employed in or doing business with the aviation industry.
