About the Program |
Looking for a meaningful way to serve the Latino community? The League of United Latin American Citizens, the nation's oldest and largest Latino civil rights organization, seeks several talented and passionate individuals to serve as interns at the LULAC national headquarters in Washington D.C. In collaboration with the LULAC national staff, interns can combine their academic interests with real-world experience in any of the following areas: civic engagement, advocacy, community programs, communications, membership, special events, development, or executive areas. |

Requirements
Description |
Applicants are required to have excellent academic records and strong writing and communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the Hispanic community and current issues is a plus. Applicants should also have a deep sense of commitment to advancing the rights of Hispanic Americans. Ability to write and speak Spanish and English fluently is highly desirable as is extensive experience with using computers. Candidates should be working towards a bachelor’s degree.
