About the Program |
MITES is a rigorous six-week residential academic enrichment summer program for promising high school seniors, many of whom come from underrepresented or underserved communities and who are interested in studying and exploring careers in science and engineering. This national program stresses the value and reward of pursuing advanced technical degrees and careers while developing the skills necessary to achieve success in science and engineering. In 2015, MITES served 68 students hailing from 22 states, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Jamaica, Mexico, and Malawi. |
