About the Program

The Elmira Sanderson Endowed Scholarship of $1,500 will be awarded to graduating high school seniors currently attending a San Francisco public high school, who come from an educationally or environmentally disadvantaged background, and who plan to enroll full-time as a freshman (12 units) at San Francisco State University for the 2014-2015 academic year.

Description

Eligibility requirements for The Elmira Sanderson Endowed Scholarship:

 

 

1. Applicant is currently a high school senior, attending a San Francisco Public High School

 

2. Has a cumulative G.P.A. of at least 2.75 for the junior and senior high school years

 

3. Must enroll at San Francisco State University as a full-time student with at least 12 units for the fall 2014 semester

 

4. Write a personal statement (typed, double-spaced, maximum three pages) about your career goals, your involvement with high school or community service, your personal and/or academic accomplishments, any educational or economic challenges you face in meeting your college goals, and any other pertinent information.
