About the Program

The Sand Hill Scholars Program was created by Thomas W. Ford and Susan B. Ford, and is underwritten by the Sand Hill Foundation. This program provides scholarships for promising students whose educational opportunities and success will be increased by financial assistance, mentoring, college and career success training, and summer internship opportunities. Special considerations are given to students who graduated from the Ravenswood City School District. The selection committee looks for students who have shown leadership in educational and community or job-related activities outside the school environment, and have overcome hardships to remain in school. Award recipients must be willing to participate actively in workshop and mentoring activities throughout their undergraduate careers.
