About the Program

Peninsula College Fund (PCF) scholars receive a $3,000 scholarship renewable for the next three years (a total of $12,000). But the Peninsula College Fund program encompasses much more than just a scholarship. In addition to financial assistance, we provide our scholars with one-to-one mentoring throughout college, academic coaching, assistance in obtaining summer internships, a broad network of peer support, and professional training to succeed in college and beyond.

Requirements

Description
  • Earn a cumulative GPA of 3.2 to 3.8 (weighted)
  • Demonstrate verifiable financial need
  • Plan to attend a four-year accredited US college or university beginning in the fall
  • Demonstrate the academic preparation necessary to succeed in college
  • Demonstrate an ability to overcome obstacles to achieve academic and personal goals
  • Demonstrate active involvement in the community or active engagement with others via work, school, or family responsibilities
  • Be an underrepresented minority and/or first-generation college student (neither parent graduated from a two-year or four-year college/university)
Open to residents of:

Open to students attending school in:
National - All 50 States
Additional Geographic Requirements

To be eligible to join the program, applicants must be graduating seniors from one of the following nine partner high schools: Aspire East Palo Alto Phoenix Academy, East Palo Alto Academy, Eastside College Preparatory School, Gunn High School, Menlo-Atherton High School, Palo Alto High School, Sequoia High School, Summit Preparatory High School or Woodside High School.
