About the Program

The Kruttschnitt Aspire Scholarship Program (KASP) is named in recognition of a legacy commitment made by Cal alumnus, local business and community leader, Theodore (Ted) H. Kruttschnitt ’64. The program supports low-income, underrepresented minority students who have been admitted to Cal as an incoming freshman or junior college transfer. In addition to financial aid, the KASP Scholars will receive the guidance and resources necessary to succeed at the number one public university in the world.
