About the Program

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards allows students to submit works in 28 categories of art and writing, and is open to all public, private and home school students in 7 - 12 grade. Seniors may submit a portfolio of art and/or writing. 16 portfolios will be selected for $10,000 scholarships. Approximately 30 additional portfolios will be given $1,000 scholarship awards. Other academic awards are also available through special creative challenges and the best-in-grade award. The Awards are blindly adjudicated. There is no mandated topic or theme for general Scholastic Awards submissions, but special creative challenges are available.
