Additional Benefits |
Students who participate in the Road to Success program receive free direct services to assist them through every step of college application and enrollment process. Services provided by Advisors include assistance setting long- and short-term goals, selecting a career and applicable majors, assistance with completing college, financial aid, and scholarship applications, essay and resume writing skills, selecting and registering for classes, and identifying on-campus services such as housing, bookstores, and tutoring. In addition to the key services, the Education Partnership offers three (3) types of scholarships. Students at the twenty-five (25) Partnership high schools are eligible to receive an Education Partnership scholarship that awards $350 annually to students attending a local community college, $500 annually if attending a local public university, or $1,000 annually if attending a local private university. The Education Partnership basic scholarship is renewable for up to eight (8) semesters, with a maximum life of five (5) years after graduation from high school. The Incentive Scholarship doubles the scholarship amounts noted previously if the student visits with a college advisor or counselor, declares a degree plan, and attends three (3) workshops on college persistence or skill-building topics.
