About the Program

The Somos Foundation awards scholarships to Hispanic students in recognition of academic and vocational achievement, demonstrated leadership in school, community or other service activities, and financial need.  These scholarships help Hispanic students achieve their academic goals, as well as remain motivated by having the support and networking opportunities provided by Somos’ Student Academy.  The Student Academy provides our scholarship recipients mentoring & personal development opportunities

Requirements

Description
  • Be of Hispanic/Latino descent.
  • Currently live in Utah
  • Be a student enrolled as a senior in high school, or a student in college, university, or vocational school in the state of Utah.
  • Be making satisfactory progress toward the student’s program objective (degree, diploma, or certificate).
  • Have demonstrated leadership in school, community and/or other service organizations that promote, enhance or strengthen diversity.
