About the Program

This scholarship is for students with high potential for success in the TCOM industry, regardless of their GPA . Students who are African American and demonstrate financial need will be given preference. The student must have also met all TCOM internship application requirements and must be able to produce proof of a secured internship. Student must be a major or minor in Telecommunications at Ball State and be actively enrolled at the time of application. Must also enroll in TCOM 391 at Ball State for a semester that falls within the 12 months immediately following the announcement of the award.

At the conclusion of the Internship, students receiving the award are required to write an evaluation paper on the following:

• What this internship has meant to the recipient

• The significance of the internship in preparing the recipient for work in media

• Suggestions for making this internship experience more useful in the future

Description

Submit an application package to TCOM Dept. (BC201) containing:

- TCOM scholarship application form

-A current resume

-A current DegreeWorks Audit

-Evidence of financial need may also be submitted

- Please bring your entry to the Telecommunications office in BC 201
