The Geneseo Migrant Center provides a variety of services to migrant farmworkers residing in the immediate geographic area as well as coordinating programs on a regional, statewide, and national level to benefit migrant farmworkers and their families.
The Geneseo Migrant Center, a division of the Genesee Valley Educational Partnership, also operates as a registered nonprofit 501(c)(3) entity known as the Geneseo Migrant Center, Inc. (GMC, Inc.). This dual identity has allowed the Center the flexibility to serve migrant farmworker families through financial support from federal and state governments, as well as corporate and private sources.

Gloria Mattera National Migrant Scholarship

Description:
The purpose of the Gloria Mattera National Migrant Scholarship Fund is to assist financially those migrant youth who have the potential and the desire to further their education to achieve their personal and career goals. Eligible applicants must be entering or enrolled in college or other types of post-secondary programs, high school dropouts or potential dropouts. |
The Scholarship fund gives migrant youth across the country a chance to make choices regarding their careers and futures through grants in the amount of up to $250. |
Migrant Farmworker Baccalaureate Scholarship

Description: The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial support to a deserving student with a history of migrating for employment in agriculture who has successfully completed at least one year of college. This support will cover expenses beyond that which the youth receives through federal, state and other scholarship assistance. The scholarship is designed to assist the youth in obtaining a baccalaureate degree without being encumbered with substantial debt.

Over the years, the number and size of the Center’s scholarship offerings have grown thanks to the generosity of many individuals. The Geneseo Migrant Center is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; therefore, donations to its scholarship funds are tax deductible.
